WELCOME TO MAGURA VILLAGE

Old Slavonians borrowed the word MAGURA from Celts who had used it to refer to a high mountain (maor-gor), in Slovak translation it means my mountain (má gura). This word has preserved to the present and became very popular to name hills or mountains in Slovakia.

Magura Village is a complex of 16 unique wooden cottages situated in a picturesque surrounding in the Liptov village Malatíny near the hill Magura (1170m). The cottages were built in 2009 and are tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard; yet they preserve many traditional features; therefore, they will satisfy the most demanding visitors.

Cottages consist of 3 bedrooms, dining + living room and provide cosy accommodation for 6 up to 10 persons. Self-catering cottages are fully equipped with dishes and utensils. Each log cabin has a TV, a sofa and a fireplace.

The area offers an outdoor swimming pool, a playground and an outside sitting for grilling. Magura Village is an ideal place for families with children or a group of friends looking for a rest in the nature or a unique atmosphere of Liptov.

The charming environment at the foot of the Low Tatras Mountains has become a true paradise for nature lovers and hikers. You can experience tranquillity but at the same time enjoy a lot of opportunities for active relax offered by the Liptov region. There are rich natural, historical, folk or sports opportunities and it is a place of plenty secret coves.
